Miss Grace Ballet – Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance

By booking or making payment for any Miss Grace Ballet program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as published on our website and available upon request.

Miss Grace Ballet operates independently and has no indemnity by St Mary’s Anglican Girls School, at which classes are held. Participation in the program constitutes acknowledgment of this arrangement.

2. Payment

  • All program fees must be paid in full prior to your child’s first ballet session.

  • Yearly Registration Fee: $35 per student. This fee covers music licensing and insurance costs and is required for all students at the start of each year.

  • Miss Grace Ballet reserves the right to pause your child’s participation in classes if invoices remain unpaid.

3. Cancellations & Missed Sessions

Term enrolments secure a place in the class and allow us to plan staffing, choreography, resources, and studio space. Therefore, the following applies:

3.1 Ballet Classes (Group After-School Program)

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for any absence.

  • One (1) makeup class per term may be offered where notice is provided.

  • Makeups are subject to availability and may not be offered if classes are full or scheduling does not permit.

  • Missed classes or late cancellations (within 24 hours) are forfeited.

  • No refunds or fee adjustments apply for missed or forfeited sessions.

3.2 Cancellations by Miss Grace Ballet

If a class must be cancelled due to illness, emergency, or unexpected circumstances, families will be offered either:

  • A rescheduled class, or

  • A credit for the session value.

4. Collection

  • Children must be collected from the designated pick-up area on school grounds by a parent or authorised adult.

  • Miss Grace Ballet instructors are responsible for children only from collection from class to pick-up during scheduled class times.

  • If someone other than the usual caregiver is collecting your child, you must notify us before class ends (email or text accepted).

  • Repeated late collection may result in additional fees or suspension from the program for safety reasons.

5. Safety & Supervision

The safety and wellbeing of every dancer is our top priority. Parents and guardians agree to:

  • Disclose all relevant medical, developmental, behavioural, or physical needs before enrolment so appropriate planning can occur.

  • Ensure their child is physically able to participate in ballet activities.

Miss Grace Ballet may pause or discontinue participation if a child’s needs exceed the scope of the program or if behaviour presents a safety risk to themselves or others.

6. Photography & Media

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that Miss Grace Ballet may take photos or short videos during classes for documentation or promotional use.

  • Images may appear on Miss Grace Ballet’s website, social media, printed materials, or digital platforms.

  • All images taken by Miss Grace Ballet remain the intellectual property of the business.

If you do not want your child photographed, please notify us in writing.

7. Behaviour Expectations

Miss Grace Ballet aims to create a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for all young dancers. Behaviours considered unacceptable include but are not limited to:

  • Ignoring safety instructions

  • Unsafe conduct (running off, physical aggression, damaging property)

  • Bullying, teasing, or exclusion

  • Disrespectful comments or actions

Parents/guardians agree to support Miss Grace Ballet’s behaviour expectations. Miss Grace Ballet reserves the right to suspend or discontinue participation if unsafe or disruptive behaviours persist.

8. Property & Damage

Miss Grace Ballet is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings (e.g., uniforms, dance shoes, bags, water bottles) brought to class.

If a child intentionally damages equipment, costumes, props, or school property used during class, families are responsible for repair or replacement costs.

9. Health, Illness & Hygiene

For the wellbeing of all students:

  • Children who are unwell (fever, contagious illness, vomiting, diarrhoea, or symptoms listed in state health guidelines) must not attend class.

  • If a child becomes unwell during a session, a parent/guardian must collect them promptly.

  • No refunds are provided for illness; makeup classes or credits are at Miss Grace Ballet’s discretion.

Miss Grace Ballet maintains a clean and hygienic class environment and follows appropriate sanitisation procedures.

10. Parent Communication

  • Important updates will be communicated via email. Parents must ensure contact details remain current.

  • Questions, concerns, or confidential information should be sent via email to maintain professionalism and privacy.

  • Messages will be responded to within 48 hours on business days. Weekend messages will be answered the following Monday unless urgent.

11. Liability

While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure safety, participation in physical activity carries inherent risks.

Miss Grace Ballet is not liable for accidental injury or property damage that occurs during or around class activities, except in cases of proven negligence.

Parents/guardians acknowledge that ballet involves physical movement and agree that their child participates at their own risk.

12. Program Structure & Instructor Discretion

Miss Grace Ballet programs are designed by qualified ballet instructors and follow an age-appropriate, skills-based structure.

  • Class content, choreography, and teaching methods may not be altered upon request.

  • Classes are not babysitting services; they are structured learning experiences.

  • Instructors may adjust activities, groupings, or lesson pacing based on students’ needs, behaviour, or safety considerations.

13. Public Holidays & Term Adjustments

  • Classes will not be held on public holidays or during mid-term breaks.

  • Term fees will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the number of classes held in the term.

14. Notice of Discontinuation

If you wish to discontinue the program for the following term, please notify Miss Grace Ballet at least two weeks before the start of the new term. If we do not receive notification, you will be charged for the next term.

15. Ongoing Registration

When your child becomes a Registered Miss Grace Ballet Member, registration is ongoing and automatically renews each year until you notify us that you want to opt out, or your child “ages out” of our program in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

16. Emergency Procedures

In the event of a medical emergency, you understand that the class teacher may seek medical attention for your child or call for ambulance service if deemed necessary. Any costs associated with medical treatment or ambulance services will be at your expense.

17. Changes to Terms

Miss Grace Ballet may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website or provided upon request.
